OEM Test Target Credentials Fail with Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 MR5
This is probably more of a question for Symantec, but we have not gotten anywhere with their support, so I thought I'd also ask here.
We tried running Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.5002.333 on an Oracle 10G server (Windows 2003, SP2). We were unable to execute a remote command to that server from the Oracle Enterprise Manager from a different server. We have made sure that that only the antivirus and antispyware comonents are installed, and tried both unmanaged and managed installations. Windows Firewall is disabled. We are able to duplicate this behavior with the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console's "Test Target Credentials" feature. It works fine with SEP off, but we get a "cannot connect" error with SEP installed.
