Oracle BI Performance Problem

 Hello, we have a VM-Ware Virtual Machine with Oracle BI for testing and development. On the VM is MS Server 2003 SP 2 installed. The following BI Products are installed
BI EE 10.1.3.4.1
Oracle Databese 10.2.0.1.0
The VM has 2600 MB of RAM and 2,8 GHz CPU.
Everything runs witch a moderate speed, it was not extremely fast but you could work with it. After a weekend we tried to connect witch the BI Publisher plug-in from MS Word to edit the layout for a report. But the connection ends with an error massage. The reason is that the Server was two slow. Two Days earlier exact this procedure worked just fine.
