Unable to create new Asset Depreciation Ceiling

Hi FA Gurus.

We are trying to create a new record in the Asset Depreciatin ceiling but the system is not allowing to create the same. 

The issue is the last record in the asset Depreciation ceiling doesnt have the end date. The end date field is greyed out.  So we are unable to end date the last record.

Without the end date in the last record the system is not allowing us to create a new record.

Does anybody faced this issue. If so can you please let us know how you have rectified this issue. 

Immediately response is highly appreciated.
