Purge of Install base

HI

We are performing an upgrade of our EBS instance from 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.2. As a part of this process, we are applying the american english language driver patch which is taking long time. The main reason for this is for the huge data in CSI schemas. Is there anyway that i can purge the CSI schemas and reduce the amount of data in those tables.

Below are some of the tables list

CSI_TRANSACTIONS

CSI_ITEM_INSTANCES

Is there a way to purge the above mentioned tables or can we skip this option of applying american english driver.
