Oracle 9i Data Guard with Fail Safe

I am looking at a solution that requires high availability and DR resiliance. Constraint is currently the Database Version - 9i R2.

 

I am therfore looking at implementing a solution base around a 2 node Fail Safe Cluster in Location A with a Data Guard implementation to a standby server at location B.

I am aware of a bug (4404952) that the DG broker does not support cold-failover clusters (which is indeed what I will be looking to implement at the primary location).

It looks to me as if the standby database at location B will 'break' if the database on the fail safe cluster fails over to the passive node. If this is the case then I am trying to understand the implications of this :
