Maximum RHEL 5 kernel version for E-Business 11.5.10.2

I am cloning our middle tiers to a higher version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (from 4 to 5).  I reviewed note:

 

316806.1 Oracle Applications Installation Update Notes, Release 11i (11.5.10.2)

Linux x86 and Linux x86-64 (AMD64/EM64T) Requirements

 

The note says the required minimum kernel version is 2.6.18-8 EL, so in theory we can use the latest version.  However, in practice I wonder what kernel versions are in use.   If you are using a higher version, what is it and were there any issues with it?
