Transactions with a Burden Schedule prior to Burden Schedule Start Date

I have 6 usage transactions that are not burdening because the transactions took place prior to the burden schedule Version Start Date. I cannot change the Version Start Date, and I cannot remove the Burden Schedule from the Task because the Project Type requires burden schedules. How do I resolve this?
