Mail Mege with Office 2007

Has anyone used the Mail Merge funcationality with Office 2007.  When trying to edit a Template it does not open in Word.  It opens Word to a blank screen but does not display the template.     I can get it to open using Offie 2003 but we're upgrading to Office 2007 and the templates no longer visable for editing..
