PA INterface Costs to GL

Long ago when we went live, we thought that we needed to interface costs to the GL so we setup our PA Implementation Options to  interface costs to the GL. We have found out that we do not need to interface the costs to the GL in order to complete our Financial statements as we once thought. Currently, we have many transactions waiting to be processed to the GL before we can close our PA Periods. If we change the Implementation Options to not Interface Costs to GL,

1. Will we still need to interface all of the transactions that occurred prior to the change?
