11i Upfront tax - Any flag to prevent rentals getting tax applied to it when upfront tax is generate

When an upfront tax is generated I was expecting any subsequent rent invoicing will not have sales tax applied against it. Is there something in the system that indicate any transaction generated by an asset (which already has been upfront taxed) to not generate any tax  because I am still getting sales tax in AR? Thanks
