OTM Internal Distance Engine

Inside OTM, if you have the distance set to LOOKUP ELSE ESTIMATE, OTM will calculate the distance.

My question concerns the formula that OTM is using. If I take two points and run ASK OTM DISTANCE AND TIME from Atlanta to Oklahoma City OTM returns 913.29 miles.

If I check using a website with a great circle calculator I get 759.85 miles.

I thought OTM calculates distances 'as the crow flies', does it include a markup for estimating road mileage?
