Excel Output File Size Generated By BI Publisher Is Very Large. Is there a tool/program to convert X

 Hi All,      We are using BI to produce excel output. The issue is the excel file is huge ( 30 MB) and it takes 10-15 minutes for the user to open it which is not acceptable to them..  I found a metalink note which says the following
    This issue is because the Excel output from XML Publisher is XHTML not binary .xls. XHTML is a more verbose format than binary .xls.
     It will be large because the current Excel output is just an HTML and not compressed like PDF. Please use the workaround (save it as .xls file).  This is a limitation.
