Earned Value and Level of Effort Activities

 Greetings All,
I have a project with a 20-80 pay structure. (20% the the month of activity start, 80% the month of activity completion).

So under the WBS, Earned Value Properties Tab, Technique for computing performance percent complete, I have a custom value of 20.

Task Dependent Activities are performing as I expect but Level of Effort activities are either being shown at 100% the first month (even though they span several months) or they are being shown with earnings in 3 or more months.

Can anyone provide and comments or suggestions?
