 Hi All,

I'm still a newby in oracle DB recovery but wanted to know how I would recover a db if given log files, control files and data files.

Windows os crushed on me, the good thing is that I could be able to get the log files the control files and the data files since they are at 1 place.
How would I recover the database. These are my settings.

The server settings were
os: windows 2003 server
ram: 4gb
db path : E:\ORACLE\ORADATA\TEST
oracle : database 9i

My current settings
os:windows xp
ram: 4gb
oracle : database 9i

I have already created drive E: on my machine though i have 9i db installed on my machine at drive d:

Howdy, Stranger!
