Is using an Oracle 11g R2 client (installed on Windows 7 work station) to connect to an Oracle 11g R

Hi All,

As Oracle 11g R1 client is not supported on a Windows 7 platform we are forced to use Oracle 11g R2 client on our Windows 7 platforms.  However our databases must remain on Oracle 11g R1 as our application does not currently support Oracle 11g R2.

As our application does not support Oracle 11g R2 yet and our Windows 7 platforms are forced to use Oracle 11g R2 clients to connect to it are there any compatibility problems using an Oracle 11g R2 client to communication with an Oracle 11g R1 database through TNS? i.e. our application uses TNS to connect to the database are there any difference in the TNS communication infrastructure
