Error while opening GL Period

Hi,

We are trying to open a GL Period  the program Open period is erroring our.

The error in the log file is ...

There are not enough periods defined in your Calendar. Please define your future enterable periods.

We are in R12 and we went to account set up manager and under

Define and update the journal processing options for your ledger  we increased the 

Number of Future Enterable Periods from 15 to 20 ..

We also ran the report

Calendar Validation program and it did not show any issues.

The program is still erroring out

Any Clues?
