Automatic Inventory move

I'm looking for a way to get allocated inventory to automatically move to a specific staging location in the system.

For example, if I were to pick lot 1234 with a mobile device, I would be physically moving it to a staging location, however if i wanted to move it in Oracle I would need to move it to staging in the system and then pick it.

I'm sure there is a set up somewhere, but I have been unable to locate it. My company is running 11i I'm not sure if the set up would be different in the version then 12.
