How are PO Line attachments pulled into the XSL-FO Stylesheet for Standard POs?

How are PO Line attachments pulled into the XSL-FO Stylesheet for Standard POs? Where is the data stream coming from?
Specifically, I am trying to find out how a System Item attachment which defaults onto a PO Line is pulled into the PO Print stream. Is there an XML view for this? Where is it determined that a To Supplier PO Line short text attachment that originated from a System Item attachment will be pulled into the data stream?
