Can I set a timezone for a schema?

edited Aug 3, 2010 10:02PM in Database Administration (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered
We have clients in the U.S. in 1 schema and in New Zealand in a separate.  We would like to have the sysdate represent the correct time  depending on which schema is being used.  We are running a POTS application so we can change the code or the database.

If having timezone specific schemas are not possible, is it possible to have 2 separate instances running on the same server in 2 different timezones?

Thanks - JR
