UK PAY: Issuing a P45 after a death – monthly payroll run

edited Sep 2, 2010 2:42AM in Payroll and OTL - EBS (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered
Has anyone experienced issues with this process with regard to a monthly payroll run.  We have found that if an employee dies early in the monthly then HMRC require a P45 to be sent straight away however there is no provision for this within Oracle as once a P45 has been run it cannot be re-run.

Using an example – say an  employee died on the 7th August, a P45 should have been issued as soon as we were made aware.  Then any payment due, which won't be paid out until the 26th August at the earliest, gets paid to the beneficiary using the BR tax code.

Howdy, Stranger!
