Batch Posted Not updating in the General Ledger balance

hi

We have passed an entry pertaining to 31/03/10 entry in the current date by opening the fiscal year and month and posted the Batch when we check the opening Balance as on April 1st these entries are not shown where as for all the months the opening and closing balances are shown correctly
