Performing recovery on production database with a logical standby in place

Hi
we have a 10g R2 database with a logical standby database
The logical standby database is a subset of production database as due to business requirements
we are not syncing up the entire production database and instead skipping a couple of schemas
We are using conventional hot backups (not using RMAN) to backup the production database
The question is that if for any reasons (e.g. lets assume media failure) we need to perform
a recovery of the production database, how would it impact the logical standby? Are there
any additional steps we need to take (on logical standby) before we perform the recovery on production to ensure that the logical standby
