R12 Upgrade

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade our existing EBS 11.5.10.2/ DB 10.2.0.4 Env to R12.1.2/11.2.0.1. We upgraded one of the dev env by using following path 11i->R12.1.1 then DB 10g->11g and then R12.1.1 to R12.1.2.  If anyone did the similar upgrade, please suggest what could be minimal production downtime we should plan for. We are using Solaris 10 and server has enough resources.DB size is approx 400GB.

If there is any Best practices document to reduce production downtime for R12 upgrade,please share.
