purging of MFS data

 hi

in he mobile Admin  we can see  mobile concurrent program summary

in that i have option by ctagory  "purge" and enable  statatus N

@inventory and lookup are sheduled

i have few qestions :

@is purge need to be sheduled periodically

@if so what is  the recomended  Period.

@what is it actually puge,what data  it purge ?

i had run the below :select sysdate, count(*) from asg.ASG_SYSTEM_DIRTY_QUEUE
It returns approx. 12 million records.

is thi shas any relation or impact  is there any SOP to follow
