Breakout out assets after created?

Hi-

We have a location that has grouped together several assets into asset.  For example, 10 PCs were added to the system as one asset.  The location now wants to 'explode' this asset into 10 individual assets.  

Is there a function within Oracle Assets that performs this function once an asset is created & depreciation  has been generated against the initial asset? 

This location has several similar situations...so I'm looking for the most efficient  way to to break out these grouped assets.
