 Hi:
I've upgraded my rman database and catalog to 11gr2.  However, all my other databases are not yet upgraded to 11g.  They are all at 10.2.0.4.   When I try to back up the 10g databases with the 11gr2 catalog I get error messages:

Recovery Manager: Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production on Mon Aug 23 16:05:49 2010

Recovery Manager incompatible with TARGET database: RMAN 8.0.4.0 to 10.2.0.4 required
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00554: initialization of internal recovery manager package failed
RMAN-06429: TARGET database is not compatible with this version of RMAN

I assumed 11g rman catalog would be backward compatible?  Do I have to restore my rman 10g db/catalog and upgrade this database last?  Please advise.

Howdy, Stranger!
