Can Operating Leases tie to a Project?

 We have Project related costs that are capitalized in Projects to integrate to Assets in FA.  We are wondering how would it be different if we associate Project costs to Operating Leases (Equipment Rentals) setup in FA?  Obviously the Leases are not depreciable, but can we capitalize the cost to a Lease Asset?
