Reporting on Backups and BackupSets

Hi There,

Could someone clarify the definition of a backupset.

I thought a backupset was a tag/stamp that represented an execution of a single backup or copy command; and consisted of pieces (physical rman files) that constituted the backup?

When I try reporting on Incremental Level 0 backups of my database, I get (for example):
 SET_STAMP START_TIME        DEVICE_TYPE       B ELAPSED_HRS     PIECES G_BYTES    S
---------- ----------------- ----------------- - ----------- ---------- ---------- -
