PJL: Update Progress from a task assignment that is not a task manager using a team member home page

Would anyone know what function allows a task assignment (workplan resource) update the physical percent complete (update progress) of 

the tasks which he is assigned (by team member home page)?

Business need: Workplan task resource (Task assignment) needs to update progress (in your task) in a collaborative manner (by team 

member home page).

Business rules: Each workplan lowest task will only have one unique workplan resource assigned to it. Workplan resource will update 

task progress (only the tasks where he is the workplan resource). Task managers exist for only medium tasks or top tasks, reviewing 

entered progress by (your lowest)task assignments, and creating new tasks, according task hierarchy (task manager will only create and
