R12.1.2 Task Description issue

Hi,

We are stuck with a situation , where we are not able to see Task Description in any LOVs.
It is only Task Name and Number that appears.Is there a patch available for this or any workaround ? The Task description is long and is more meaningful for working.This is a problem in entering budget too.

Also, What is the use of Long Task Name ?
