R12 Ability to chagne the Reversal Effective Date

 hello Metalink Note [ID 784500.1] explains the way the reversal date is populated. It looks like it is a non updateable field. Is there a profile option value we can set, or another set up step which we can set to be able to adjust the effective date?

For example
User reverses a journal with Journal Period JUN-10 in AUG-10 (system date = 20 Aug), however user wants to show effective date 1 Aug 2010.
