Database migration from solaris sparc to solaris x86

Hello,
does anyone know exactly if solaris sparc to solaris x86 migration should be considered as the cross-platform migration and thus we have to use corresponding procedure (e.g. export/import in 9i or transportable tablespaces in 10g/11g)?

Is there any official document/note?
