Import Feature in 9.0

We are in the process of upgrading from 8.11 to 9.0. In the 8.11 version we could "import via excel" and browse for the file. In 9.0 it no longer has the import from excel feature. It is either import from a csv file or from clipboard cut and paste. We import lots of files so the csv function would be very time consuming and even though cut and paste is a simple process, our users really liked the import from excel button. The 9.0 implementation guide and the 9.0 Help guide show the export from excel feature. Has the feature gone away?
