How to change the tables from DMT to LMT?

Need to do migration of tables from DMT to LMT, we have tried and tested various ways to do this, but each time the implementation fails. The tables and indexes are too large (smallest is 30GB). We have tried to migrate the tables and indexes in many ways but the task doesn't complete in the 4 hour downtime window we have.
Can you advise if there is an alternative way to resolve this problem. Is there a database parameter (hidden parameter) which will correct the issue without having to migrate?
 
Database is 10.2.0.2
Platform is IBM AIX on Power System
