RMAN-RAC backup to tape with Netbackup

I've been reading some documentation about RMAN-RAC backups like this  RMAN: RAC Backup and Recovery using RMAN [ID 243760.1], but here it is mentioned only backup to disk.

My environement is RAC 2 nodes on ASM; But the requirement is to do backup to tape (and we have VEritas netbackup) We'd like to know if the example mentioned in the note that it is for disk; Could it be for Tape? becuase there is mentioning multiplexing

Currently We want to test Veritas netbackup for QA RAC environment due in our PROD RAC environemtn we have Legato and it is taking raround 25 hrs to backup 2.5 TB; probably we could improve like 20-30% but not sure
