Has anyone changed hard coded values in 41 NC - the Next Count Date UDC?

Our company is implementing a stringent cycle count program.  We would like to use ABC Sales code to generate the next count date, then use next count date as data selection in R41413, but the values in 41 NC do not align with our process and are documented as 'hard coded'

Rather than use cycle count category code We would like to change the values in the 41 NC.  Has anyone changed the values and encountered any issues?
