ckpt background process blocking sessions, DB sessions experiencing wait for 'control file sequentia

 Current control files are placed under the Datafile & Redofile mounts:
/j2_euasp/d001/cntrl01.dbf, /j2_euasp/r002/cntrl02.dbf, /j2_euasp/r003/cntrl03.dbf

Will moving them give some relief for this wait ?

Clearly the checkpoint is blocking other DB sessions trying to do a "Control File read / write".

My database is 10.2.0.4 o IBM AIX

Hope anyone could advise on this,
