Automatic PO Creation from Requisition

We're running 11.5.10.2 and would like to have our Purchase Orders automatically get created when a requisition is approved.  But, we don't use sourcing.   But, we do use requisition templates that contain buyer and vendor data.  Should this work without having to set up source documents?
