DB Console needs SCAN Listener ???

Hi friends,

I have an environment where DB console were used to manage a database.

Due a DNS problem I had to deactivate SCAN LIstener feature and now DB Console is not working.

Some questions :

1) Is it mandatory to have Scan Listener ON for DB Console work ?

2) How about if I reinstall DB Console with database running without SCAN Listener feature. Will DB Console work in this case ?

3) Do you have any link for documentation with details about how SCan Listener affects DB Console ?
