System Stats for RAC and Standby databases

 I have 2 node RAC System,which is also configured for Standby database as well (MAA). My question is do we have any standard define for the system statistics management for such kind of systems or not?

I have been researching for this quite some time but did not find any satisfactory solutions.

I know, I can use the dbms_stats package to manage system stats and I am planing to use this package.

Do I need to gather the system stats after my switchover or not??

Any help will be appreciated...
