RAC Environments 2 Node Oracle 11GR2 Grid Infra and Rdbms software backup.

Hello,

      We have a questions with respect to software backups in a 2 node RAC environment.  In this case an Oracle 11GR2 2 node RAC environment where there would be 2 $ORACLE_HOME directory structures:

Rdbms $ORACLE_HOME  

Grid Infra $ORACLE_HOME

      Would there be any issues in for example backing up only the Rdbms $ORACLE_HOME and Grid Infra $ORACLE_HOME software on node 1 of the 2 node RAC cluster?  And, if for whatever readon, the Rdbms and Grid Infra $ORACLE_HOME software needed to be restored on node 2 the aforementioned Rdbms and Grid Infra $ORACLE_HOME software taken from node 1 could be restored on node 2?  Would restoring the software backup from node 1 and restoring it on node 2 be okay?  Would Clusterware (ASM and CRS) and Rdbms software function on node 2 after restoring the Rdbms and Grid
