How to avoid the creation of multiple useless Benefit (DBA) records for the same DBA when Effect on
We make extensive use of the " Calculate for all employees " checkbox (F069116/TRPF) on the " Advance DBA Info " window.
Since this DBA calculation technique includes:
- a "
Trigger DBA"
(the DBA first in line to start a specific multi-step calculation,
most likely included at the EE DBA instruction level (in F06106),
- a "Result" DBA (the last DBA in line, that is the one which creates the actual deduction or benefit and which sends dollars to the G/L (Effect on GL = "N")
- and in between those above, several " Memo" DBAs, that are Benefits with Effect on GL = "M" , each of them sole purpose is to align in piggyback mode several different types of step calculations in order to deal with a sometimes rather complex business requirement;
