Excessive audit files generated in RMAN

 Hi,
I have 2 seperate RMAN implementations with auditing on. For a single backup session, in one setup I see 10-12 audit files which is reasonable. But in another setup, the same script generates around 12000 audit files which seems quite excessive. Any clues ?
