backlog orders

 Hi all,

    I want to develop a report for backlog orders.Currently Iam going by the criteria as ordered_quantity- shipped_quantity as backlog quantity for a order line. In case of Return line do i need go -1*Ordered_Quantity as backlog quantity? Wether I have take return lines into backlog consideration?

   Any suggestions are welcome.
