CM13 Editing Primary Key Information

 I am attempting to modify a company's initial in a CM project.  It appears that there is no way in CM13 to modify primary key fields, such as the company initials, or the personnel initials.  Once entered it is unchangeable.  I need to export, correct, and re-import with the correct information (company initials).  Then delete or inactivate the old incorrect company information.  Of course without finding and correcting every occurrence of the old company, I will get deleted and blank information.  

This seems hard to believe that an Oracle product prevents changing the values in any field.  So am I mistaken ?
