Month end AR close reports are in 'Warning' and no data

 We went live with 12.1.2 on 9/1. We were on 11.5.7. 

We are very comfortable with all month end closes EXCEPT for AR - we have a clone of production as of 9/19 and I have been going thru a 'mock AR close' in this clone.

We are finding that Submit Accounting/Draft/do not transfer to GL/summary report - keeps just stopping with a warning/no data.  The log is 800,000 + pages and we were mortified - no wonder the report did not finish.  We have been told by support - 'do your close in Final mode once a week'.  Well I tried that too - and had the same thing one I got to day 15.
