 Hi,

Running Enterprise 11g on Windows 2003 R2 x64 (Dell Poweredge AMD). I also have 2 Dell Storage servers running Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 x64 (NAS devices - gigabit over copper) as well. In Oracle 10, I was able to easily store index tablespaces, mirror control files, a multiplexed set of archive logs, and scheduled weekly backups were stored there (I usually used path names like \\Servername\Share). My first experience with 11 seems that it insists that I store everything on local, physical disk drives (I have 1 large logical RAID-5 drive), always ending with some type of "permissions" related error. Obviously I have something (or multiple items) misconfigured. I have tried starting the Oracle service with a Domain Admin account with ALL rights, even run as a batch process and as a service, adjust quotas etc., basically "God" rights, with no success. I see that my Windows 2003 R2 Storage Server NAS  supports NFS client and server processes and shares, so my current thinking is that

Howdy, Stranger!
