How to correctly report the index usage using index monitoring?

 There are lots of index in our DBs. Looking to report the index usage correctly, but found that stats gathering on index or index rebuilds are also considered as index being used when we monitor the index.
So we are looking on a report to show the index usage to monitor our index.

DB 10.2.0.3, and OS Solaris Sparc 64bit.
