Want to delete 'Expired' backup pieces while connected to RMAN and RECOVERY CATALOG.

Hi everybod,

I am using 10.2.4.0 oracle database on Windows 2003 R2 OS.   I have Recovery Catalog to keep track of my backup records.   I am taking every day full backups.  Everything works great.

I want to delete 'expired' backup sets from my catalog and rman repository.   How can I do it?

I tried this but I got into errors:

I am connected to target database and my recovery catalog.  I configured default device type to sbt; then I iIssued the following command:

RMAN> crosscheck backup;

allocated channel: ORA_SBT_TAPE_1
channel ORA_SBT_TAPE_1: sid=527 devtype=SBT_TAPE
channel ORA_SBT_TAPE_1: Veritas NetBackup for Oracle - Release 6.5 (20091105)

Howdy, Stranger!
