Which IP addresses are assigned to eth interfaces prior to installation?

There are multiple IP addresses required for an 11.2.0.2 RAC installation (RHEL5 Linux): - public
- interconnect
- SCAN
- VIP

SCAN may have as many as 3 IP addresses

Before running the cluvfy and starting the installation, which, if any, of these IP addresses should be assigned directly to a specific ethernet interface? At the moment, each node has 4 or 5 interfaces.
